@@lalune59 - I had to fix the long chain on our blinds. I didn't want to spend money on a new one. But you don't need this tool to do this, as you can improvise the same method with other tools, it just takes longer.

There are UA-cam vids on how to do it with basic tools or your fingers. U̶̲̥̅̊ just need to twist to take out. widen the hole pop the other end in. clamp it BOOM
I think if you are just doing a repair then buy some of these from Amazon. Hmm the chain tool is about £92 its a bit pricey to be honest. Not worth purchasing to make just one repair. If you are doing this all the time then ok its worth it. I hate to think I need to order a whole new chain as its much cheaper. I did attempt a repair using pliers which was partially successful but it split again later. Might just have e few more goes.

You should use a pointe (screwdriver etc) to show the various component parts you are talking about. Fingers are not suitable for such small components.

I don't know you, but I want to say thanks. I bought this cheap Roman blind, and after 6 months the cheap plastic lock failed, I bought another larger cheap blind (yeah I'm cheap), ironically from the same brand, and didn't even brought the right parts...just when I was ready to drop my old roman blind, I spent few hours trying to repair it on my own, but couldn't figure out the mechanism, then I came to youtube, the last source of "do it by yourself" and found you! It worked perfectly!!! bless
